9–17 October 2025 · Roots of Rhythms
Nine days in Tunisia
In October 2025 a group from Larache travelled to Tunisia for Roots of Rhythms, an Erasmus+ youth exchange built around music, rhythm and what different Mediterranean cultures do with them.
The exchange ran from 9 to 17 October and brought together young people and youth workers from seven partner organisations — Eramena, WeYouth, the Human Supporters Association, Bakra Sawa, Crooked House and ourselves — co-funded by the European Union through Erasmus+.
Erasmus+ exchanges are not holidays. Days run long, the work is done in mixed groups, and everyone is expected to lead something. What participants take home is usually less about the theme than about discovering they can hold their own in a room of strangers, in a second language.
The film below was shot by the group. It is the thing itself — and the fastest way to understand what we mean when we say “youth exchange”.
